  1. When you wake up in the morning, just for a moment, before rising from your bed, consider all the good things you have in your life right now and smile, then give yourself a pat on the back for all the things you have achieved and get up feeling positive.
  2. When you notice a negative thought pop into your head, consider how it will serve you to allow that thought to take hold. If you can replace it with a positive thought or turn it around, then do so.
  3. Learn to see problems as challenges that can be overcome. Remember you always have options
  4. If you make a mistake, don't dwell on it or constantly berate yourself. Remember, you are human. Learn from it and move on.
  5. If you are faced with what you consider to be a big problem, then look at how you can cut it down into small pieces and deal with each one in turn. Be positive and focus on overcoming it rather than admitting defeat.
  6. Never say never. Anything is possible. An ounce of self belief can go a long way. Try to see the cup half full rather than half empty.
  7. Tackle any challenges head on. Burying your head in the sand will not make the problem/issue go away, neither will procrastinating on it. You will only make the challenge seem a lot worse.
  8. Every day consider all the good things you have in your life and what you have to be thankful for.
  9. When faced with a crisis, instead of asking yourself how you got into it, ask yourself how you can get out of it or improve it.
  10. Find at least one reason to smile or laugh. Laughter is the best medicine and if you can conjure up a song or rhyme in your head that is funny and makes you laugh then this is a good strategy to use if you catch yourself feeling down or start to feel sorry for yourself.
